Hi, I’m Julz Richterman

PharmD, MBA, BCGP

My story began as a healthcare professional living the patient experience, as I sought out a fertility clinic to start a family. My world split into two contrasting realities: technology so advanced that it gave more hope to people than ever before, and a system that seemed to work against those trying to gain or provide access to such technology.

I had over 10 years’ experience as a pharmacist, an MBA, and spent years in pharmacy operations. I knew which tests, procedures, labs, and medications that I needed, along with the necessary technology; however, my training did not prepare me for what was to come. My anxiety, exhaustion, frustration, and desperation seemed to amplify with every procedure. I began resenting the very technology that was going to make my family possible. Even as a pharmacist, I spent many days saying, “things should not be this hard.” Unfortunately, my experience is far from unique.

As a HCP and patient, I have lived the struggles and experienced the limitations that both sectors of the industry face. Providers are fighting shortages, red tape, and insurance companies to do what’s best for their patients, while patients are often left agonizing physically, emotionally, and financially. In light of this, I now specialize in mental and reproductive health as a freelance medical writer.

Our world once hoped to prolong and improve lives, but now we’re creating them. Let’s be a part of this journey together!
